One thing my years of practice have taught me is that there is no perfect diet and exercise plan for everyone. We all can think of examples of people who ate and exercised very similarly and ended up looking very different. There are so many factors that go into how your body handles food and activity; your metabolism, your nervous system, your genetics, even your stress level will all determine which foods will be healing for your body and which will push you in the wrong direction.

2. Do You Use Specific Counseling Strategies?

Different health and wellness strategies will work differently for everyone. Many people struggle to lose weight and feel better because they have a leptin hormone sensitivity. Leptin is a necessary hormone but can produce too much if the body has an abundance of fat cells. I can determine if you have leptin resistance and overcome this issue with several strategies. Eating a low glycemic diet, eating only at certain times, encouraging sleep quality, and creating a unique exercise plan are a few strategies that help balance the leptin hormone.
